If I wasn’t listening to this as an audiobook on an 8 hour car ride, I think I would have given up. It was immediately enthralling, the lore was interesting, but the FMC became very arrogant and whined to the point of excess. I think it’s finally back on track to be a good book but from like 15% to 50% was a STRUGGLE.
