This book will help you have a more critical eye for books in the same genre. This is the gold standard in my opinion.

Completely agree. I’m 50% of the way through, and the only two books that resonated in such a similar way for me were The 1619 Project and The Color of Law. These three are fundamentally what collegiate level courses are built from.
