Some of the essays are very insightful, but the majority all tread the same exact ground, to the point where EVERY ONE takes up space telling the same "Stephen King threw this story away, and his wife fished it out of the trash and made him keep going" anecdote. This could have been addressed in the editing stage, and saved a lot of repetition.
Dangnabbit!! Sounds like the editor fell asleep at the wheel, cause there's definitely way more to explore in this story than that!! What a bummer...Thank you for the heads-up, Dan!!
Like I said, some of the essays are very insightful, and your mileage may vary...but this is a very expensive book, which I believe is sold out, and it could have been so much more.
