A description of this story said that it was for people who liked The Four Winds and Where the Crawdads Sing... I KNEW I was going to have a problem with this one. It's not getting better. A lot of eye rolling. It is still BORING. I don't care about these people. The story being told from the main character's perspective is shallow.

Does this story get better, or at the very least, more interesting? Is it going to go to the last page devoid of any happiness? Bored out of my mind reading and listening right now. Ho hum. The only character I like is Abel the horse. More Abel the horse please!

I am trying to keep an open mind and positive attitude about this story, but after the reading the description of the book that it's "for readers of Great Circle, The Four Winds, and Where the Crawdads Sing"... one of those I have not read and two of them are the top of my list of most disliked books of all time... I might have difficulty getting through this one.
