B.E. Rel This book looks very interesting. Hope you're enjoying it @Edite

Edīte Yes, I’m pacing myself and doing the exercises — it’s really eye-opening!

B.E. Rel Nice. That's like the book The Magic, or the Secret, from Rhonda Byrne. Have you heard of those? Also, would you recommend this book?

Edīte I prefered The Four Agreements over the Secret. Or Paulo Coelho.

Edīte This book is way less spiritual and more clinical.

If you catch your self "not acting as a adult" and want to work on it, then this book is beneficial.

Edīte Self-Protection Strategies covered in book:

* Self-Protection Strategy: Repressing Reality
* Self-Protection Strategy: Projection and Feeling Like the Victim
* Self-Protection Strategy: Perfectionism, Obsession with Beauty, and Yearning for Recognition
* Self-Protection Strategy: Keeping the Peace and Overadjustment
* Self-Protection Strategy: Helper Syndrome
* Self-Protection Strategy: The Power Hungry
* Self-Protection Strategy: The Control Freaks
* Self-Protection Strategy: Aggression and Attack
* Self-Protection Strategy: I’ll Remain a Child
* Self-Protection Strategy: Flight, Withdrawal, and Avoidance
* Side Note: The Shadow Child’s Fear of Closeness and Being Monopolized
* Special Case: Descent into Addiction
* Self-Protection Strategy: Narcissism
* Self-Protection Strategy: Disguise, Role-Play, and Lies
