So he’s infected which made him believe the narrative that everyone was becoming monsters, when in reality that wasn’t the case. Wow.

Ok now I’m confused by cured and infected

So what I’m getting is they are in a mental institution after being found “not guilty by insanity” (they’ve done something awful while sick). The “cured” are the ones that are no longer in their delusions and understand what they’ve done, while the infected are still ill… I think that’s the gist
