My admiration for the late Jim Shooter just continues to grow. The introduction to this volume mentions the battle between Editor-in-Chief Shooter and writer Bill Mantlo about getting the series out of the Microverse and back to Earth. Shooter wanted Earth, and, man...was he right! The Microverse is boring AF. Mantlo sure could overwrite....just blocks and blocks of text and dialogue on every page.
