Let me start with how I love how they portray her stepping into her new role clumsily and unpolished, it feels realistic

However, the new weird power the Darkling has seems overpowering, the plot twist with the prince is too convenient. Most egregiously, her sneaking out AGAIN made me put the book down for months. Have we learned NOTHING from the last book???
