This is the second book in the series, but would you believe I couldn't find it right away, probably a couple years ago? And now they've got ESTER RIED and JULIA RIED in a single volume?! Julia is one of Ester's younger sisters, and her book is told in her voice, in the first person, unlike the other books in this series and, indeed, most of Pansy/Isabella Macdonald Alden's books. Well, I'm glad I finally found it.
