Parents, apparently spanking your kid serves the same function as a hot stove, an angry dog, or other environmental danger- beating them doesn't cause psychological harm. Supposedly it just teaches them they will be harmed if they disobey. 🙄

This just in- a baby spitting up on the way to church is apparently a spiteful little brat who will need a spoon to the backside as they get bigger. Oh brother.

So if you don't smack down that "defiant" child right away and let them know you're the boss of the family, they'll look at you with contempt because they're basically sinful little beasts because of Adam and Eve. Original sin and all that.🙄

Oh, now apparently children's behavior doesn't have a reason behind it other than to challenge parents because they won't obey until they find you tough enough to stand up to them and force them to submit.🙄 My mom had this on her bedroom bookshelf and I knew that it meant my brother was the "strong-willed child" the title referred to. No wonder he's so mild-mannered as an adult- she beat the will out of him.

Oh, so we now beat our dog with a belt? This bodes well for Dobson's views on raising and disciplining children.

Ah, so we're about to compare training a dog to raising a child. 🙄
