Enjoyed this story. The spooky description of the survivors aboard a decrepit vessel at the beginning of this book really hooked me! A history lesson in sperm whales, Nantucket, tortoises, and the Essex ship disaster that would inspire Herman Melville’s Moby Dick. I learned a lot. 🤓
