I have the opposite problem, I can't follow threads (unless I go to reviews), no matter what I do :D

I don't get notifications even for my reviews, no matter how much I tinker with the settings!

I used to see than on many users whose profile said "Last active on 2024 or sth, when they were clearly active any current day. Have you tried logging off and then back on, Srivalli?

Also, besides tinkering with the settings, sometimes clearing the cache and cookies also help.

Bummer! It's exponentially crazy! The more you comment the more unwanted Notifications you will get eventually at the end of the day O.o. Wanted to wait it out a few days to see if it got corrected but so far nuttin. Might as well just comment without ticking the "Notify me when people comment" box and just try to follow each thread manually through the "all comments list", but what a drag lol xD

Sometimes the quirks resolve themselves after a few days. If not, Rosh gave me a customer service email that actually goes to a human. Now if I could only remember where I saved it......

Just GR acting weird. Like I have to check the "Notify me when people comment" box on my own reviews.

I know exactly where you can save it. Wait a minute that came out wrong. Besides I don't think it's there. Better keep looking Sarah ;)

Yeah me too. That's fine with me, as long as I can uncheck it too xD

I unchecked the box for notifications on this thread, but I keep getting them for each new comment! Blurg. It’s not that you’re not fascinating, it’s just that I have a day 😆

See what I mean? It's non-stop crazy! And it can only get worse in time with new comments and threads you follow each passing day. Just make sure you NEVER, EVER tick the "Notify me" box again until this issue is resolved, or else... 😱

GR has been so glitchy lately with regard to notifications. It’s frustrating 🫤

I used to wonder what could possibly be next, yet GR keeps surprising me every time lol 🤨

I used to hate notifications on books I commented on. LIke I commented and am done. I do not like not being notified on a comment re my review as not responding seems rude to me. GR has really messed things up of late imo.

Yes, Notifications and the Feed are two of the most serious issues GR has never truly addressed, among many other tiny glitches too lol. Enshittification, as so common they say of late.

why don't you use the browser?
The browser is far better than the app, tbh!!
