I mean what does Tessa think her darling is doing with his gun? Exchange pleasanteries? They're at war and she obviously needs to grow out of her sense of entitlement and be glad for the fact that she's Candy so she's basically immortal.

I love it when authors use google translate to express the heroine's fury at a German shooting at her dalring Anthony ... I guess the German should have just sacrificed his one life instead because you have so many choices at the front? I mean, does Tessa think that war is personal?
