The premise is so off-putting to me (I dislike bully romances, deception and lies, pranks and humiliation, blah blah blah), but so many people seemed to love this despite all of that, so I’ll (try and) keep an open mind. Let’s go…

Ah, thanks, everyone. I hope I end up loving it too, but for every moment I enjoy, the lying/revenge bullshit keeps coming back up, making me struggle with Andrew’s plotting all over again! I’m about halfway through now, and honestly, the whole situation is making me super uncomfortable, especially now they’re sort of together. Andrew’s whole mentality is just so fucked up to me. What the guy needs is some intense therapy. Hell, they both do for different reasons. It’s just stressing me out, I guess, when I get the feeling I’m meant to be all goo-goo ga-ga over their intimate moments of connection and having fun with it… yet, I can’t get past the deception and initial ill-intent of it all. It’s disturbing. Obviously I knew it was a book about revenge, but it just all seems so avoidable to me so I guess I’m struggling with the most basic elements of the entire series premise. 😂 Take all those icky bits away (that make up the whole plot) and I would probably be feeling 5 stars! It’s great character development and I’m feeling all the feelings, good and bad. So BIG points for that.
