Maybe I just need a narrative from each point of view to tell what makes them attracted to each other, because at this point I find no chemistry at all, like oh you fell in love with her, Aren? Why? I don't think you ever mentioned the why in your POVs? Thought you're just a busy gentleman king 😗

I don't get it. why Aren is so determined to prove himself to Lara? I mean he's a freaking king and he busies himself with all these unnecessary business?? sailing over island to island for what? meeting nana? prove himself to maridrina? just... why?

oh I don't know... I just don't feel any chemistry around. I dare to say that Aren is already deeply in love with Lara, or maybe not, idk. the chemistry is not working as how I expected, but we'll see.

arranged marriage trope isn't my usual cup of tea... but let's see if this book can change my mind 😉
