Don't worry -- not me crying again reading about Dane and Lloyda falling in love and getting married:

"Maybe love -- real love -- was found in the small things. The backyard vows. The friends and family who showed up, who made it happen out of sheer kindness and belief in them."

There are many times in reading this book I feel like I could've taken the words directly out of my heart. If you're still on the line about reading this and relate to any of these things - just get it and read it.

"He just showed you what he wanted to do to you. That was abuse."
"Lord, I asked You to take it away if it wasn't from you. But You didn't."
"Do I just keep forgiving him? Seventy times seven?"

I have done a lot of rereading of this section of the book. Which is prolonging my read time. And not because it is hard to get through but because of the parallels in my life right now. I am praying that God can change my heart and show me what is right the part I'm struggling with the most?

"I am working on becoming willing and delighted to do whatever."
God, Maddie, and this book found me when I needed it.

I’m so captivated page by page.

not even a quarter of the way through and Dane has had me crying on several pages. I am absolutely captivated. Sneaking away to read 10-15 pages at a time and I am in awe of what Madeleine has created so far.
