Chapter 17: Hemmingway is either giving you a five words sentence to describe what’s going on and push the story forward or he’s creating real heartfelt dialogue between two forbidden lovers. I don’t see much in between there. Are these moments where he paints the picture of the time and the scenery and the emotionof what’s going on but when he’s not doing that, it’s so direct and to the point.
