genuinely confounded that this is the redheaded stepchild of Pynchon books. it’s gorgeous and dripping with a much more palpable conspiracy than the one that drives COL49. it has the plot flips and turns (and particularly the sudden, long, drawn-out flashbacks) that made V so entertaining, but they’re written in such a way that people not named Thomas Pynchon can follow them. EXCELLENT!!!
