‘Nelson Mandela heard the prison guards whistling ‘We Are Family’ and he know that four young black women in America sand that song - and that was one of the things that gave him hope, he know the world was changing. - Kathy Sledge, 2004’.

This book has been fascinating so far, what a complex, long and inspiring career to follow; it’s been a joy to follow in such detail so far.
