Cool how everything is linking together and we're hearing now from the POV of the guy who gave Intel on Sadako to Yoshino back in Ring, for Asakawa. Pretty cool.

RIP mai. It was a well written part, although the grammar was a little awkward at times. I feel for Mai, her backstory and tragic "virgin birth" to a "demon". It was all a little Rosemarys Baby-esque. I sympathize with her experience as a young woman in her first relationship and her relationship to her body. I feel bad that her body was just used as a cocoon/womb against her will, never experiencing bodily agency.

I love anthologies so I'm excited to learn more about the 3 women from the trilogy who's personhood, POV, and backstories/afterstories remained a mystery but whose character played such large roles in the plot.
