standouts: some dreamers of the golden dream, 7000 romaine (reminded me of the common cdrama theme of wandering the ends of the universe together. idk), marrying absurd. read the title piece over like 4 diff closing shifts lol so will reread but "the ability to think for one's self depends upon one's mastery of the language" makes painful amount of sense to me. didion writes like she has english+ it's just so good
