Currently reading for a book club I'm in. Haven't even gotten past the first chapter and I can tell this is something special. Can't remember the last time I read prose this beautiful by a modern author. I was trying to quickly speed read ahead of my book club and couldn't bring myself to due to the beautiful style and how insightful and thoughtful widemans writing is.
