Good so far, a bit mundane and a nice little romance being followed, though I can tell it’s the narrator romanticizing this war being an opportunity for him to meet a woman. At the end of Book 2, it seems like reality is going to hit him soon as he makes his way to the front, especially after being away from the war so long.
