this book encapsulates the same vibe as the old man on the tube holding some pretentious book upside down, performative and pretending to read it because he’s “so complex and has so many feelings” and he claims he has a political stance but truly despises the news. and that book hes “reading”? its upside down. you just want to strangle him with that scarf around his neck. basically this book tries too hard.
