mostly knew Lee Miller as a friend and sometimes collaborator of Leonora Carrington, interesting to learn about her going from a fashion model who was one of the foremost sex symbols of the 1920's-30's to an influential photographer within not just fashion but also surrealist art and serious journalism (e. g. her covering the German bombardment of London during WW2)
