This book is starting out the exact same way my dad showed me his grandmother's house.
He walked up to this house, knocked on the door. When this woman in her 60s answered the door, he explained he used to live there back in the 60s-70s. He even pointed out the waterfall in the foyer that his grandmother had installed when he was a kid. He charmed his way into this womans house. I felt so awkward.
