my thing w this book is that it sits at such an odd place between a biography and historical fiction. it’s not bad yet but very odd ? i don’t know if i wish that it picked a side just yet but i am inclined to say i do because so far we’ve got little to no detail about the romance and the women themselves which pisses me off !!

like i don’t give a fuck about shallow descriptions of their peers’ opinions why was i not given details of how these two women fell in love if it’s supposed to be historical fiction / why don’t i just have the archives and letters combined to make a nonfiction work. whatttt🫨🫨🫨
