Just finished the 1st dialogue of the book and figured I’d do a rly short review for each one.
Symposium:
Socrates and friends have a dinner party and give speeches to toast Eros, the Greek god of love. The dialogue explores the nature of love, passion, desire and their effects on man. A common theme is the discussion of a higher form of love above physical attraction. Nothing crazy but interesting and insightful.

Greek philosophy on love: seems to be insightful if you replace the word “boy” with “woman”
