Guys! Please drop your five-star recommendations in the comments because I've come across so many one-star books recently that I'm afraid I'm going to fall into a reading slump and won't be able to get out of it anytime soon. Any five-star novel recs would do (especially thriller/fantasy and dark romance). Thank you in advance! 🩷

Once upon a broken heart series and if you’re looking for easy reads I’d recommend you to read some books of the perfectly imperfect series (particularly the first 7 books because they don’t have many pages)
Someone knows by Vi Keeland was very, very good. Bloodwing Academy series by Briar Boleyn, Dark Window|Twisted Crown duet by Rachel Gillig
Fourth Wing would be a great thing to read! It’s such a great introduction into the series, and even though it seems intimidating with the length of the books, they flew by for me
Fourth Wing is a really good starter fantasy! And it’s very consumable 🥹 for thrillers, have to add Not Quite Dead Yet by Holly Jackson 🫶
My recent 5 star is The Dark Lord’s Guide to Dating and Other War Crimes by Tiffany Hunt. Legit enemies to lovers and their banter is 🤌
I don’t know if you’ve read Her Soul To Take but I love it. The ending is good. I’m a beginner reader though so I could vary lol
sarah adams and lynn painter are great to get of a slump!! my five stars are quicksilver, six of crows, twilight, throne of glass, and once upon a broken heart!
The prison healer and the false prince and my favorite five stars. And some close five stars (so like 4.5) are The naturals, Keeper of the lost cities, percy jackson, Divergent. Most of them are fantasy <3
the perks of being a wallflower! it’s my favorite book of all time (i think) and it’s an amazing book! check the tw before you read it tho! (you can find my review somewhere on my profile lmao)
I'll be cheeky and recommend my own book... not her, not yet ;)... but also I hear Five Star Cabin is good, I'm going to check it out, a book I have read and love is None of this is true.
It’s not really your usual style, from what I’ve noticed you read, but I’d recommend trying something by Agatha Christie—*And Then There Were None*, for example. I doubt you’d give it five stars, but I think you’d still find it interesting.
Not sure if you’re looking for a specific genre, but I loved Broken Country, All the Colors of the Dark, and Still Beating. 🫶🏻
Forbidden Alchemy (historical fantasy romance w Peaky Blinder vibes…maybe not super dark but gritty). Feathers so Vicious, a dark why choose romantasy (if you haven’t read it)
I swear nothing compares to the edge of darkness trilogy for dark romance!! But I know you are a dark romance queen so you probably already read it! You should keep going with Plated Prisoner OR Terror at the Gates was SO GOOD! Dark romantasy with all the feminine rage 🤭
I haven't had much luck recently either!
Thank youu so much to everyone who dropped so many recommendations 🥹 I'm overwhelmed!! I trust everyone's recs so I'll check them all out and add them all to my tbr 🩷
