Ferns have how many chromosomes! They have 720 pairs of chromosomes that’s unbelievably large for one of the most tiniest fern species. This is the Azolla filiculoides fern to be precise. Such a small fern is thought to have been a significant contributor to cooling the planet during the paleo timeline. They are over 50 Million years old!!!
