Literary achievement, less literature for me. Sections are incredible and rapturous but I truly can't help thinking parts are just showy for sake of it, verbose dense mass of reference and rereference inshallah. I'm a philistine ig, when there's no plot pushing you forward matching the literary mastery I cannot help finding reading a bit of a slog
