The introduction starts off with her in the Badlands & she talks about how international travel can sometimes be escapist & traveling across the US is so crucial for social change & our country is so vast, beautiful, & diverse & the media knows nothing about what's actually going on in all the pockets of the country & traveling actually makes her feel more optimistic for our country....yeah this book is meant for me.
