The tone of this book is already different than all the other shadowhunters novels I have read so far. This one is cherry with a dark undertone while infernal devices is gloomy steampunk and mortal instruments is perilous adventure with a touch of edginess. Idk I kinda like how they are all so distinct yet so well connected
