Whole chapter was abt how the military SERE program was a complete simulation of the field and forced soldiers into real psychological and physical torture in order to "toughen" them up and prepare them for real scenarios. However it was later found that in doing so it not only pushed people away, but it lacked preparation for the extremely mental conditions that soldiers had to endure. I’m out of characters now:(
