Excited to read this book after reading an interview where the author noted that some "train wrecks when they were in their 20s... turned out to be wonderful octogenarians" (there's still hope!)
Turned straight to the appendices though and feel slightly alarmed. As an older person you can be happy-well, sad-sick or prematurely dead. Indicators of which group you're likely to fall into are listed...

non-fic is not typically my thing but this book is great. my only quibble is there are no models of what it's like to age successfully without being in a marriage - they don't seem to think it's possible? only halfway through though so i will keep my eyes peeled
