Three chapters. Three interviews. Must take some smart policework to interview someone without seeing their face, and Sam did it twice. I honestly don’t remember much of the details but Adhir’s wife didn’t have anything substantial to say. The concubine was young and scared. Bidika was not telling the full truth before but seems she has been framed for not bending to Punit’s desire for her hand.

It’s getting interesting. The note was delivered by an illiterate but written by a concubine that is not allowed to be met. Golding’s meeting at 6:30 did not yield any findings. The wake was a lot of drinking and Sam getting upset about Annie and Punit. Arora, multiple times, has insisted not to think so lowly of Indians. They can be civilized too. Then he recommends opium. Oh yeah, and Sam is going on the hunt.

Ch22: The prince’s funeral and Sam saw Annie. Sam learned about the traditions of this funeral. I didn’t know about the navel and that it is saved after cremation. I also don’t know about the splitting of skull. Which religion is this from?
Ch23: Sam sees Ms Pemberly, she knew Adhir, she was friends with Bidika who knew about their romance, and believes that Punit was the one who killed Adhir
