There is no hope in this book, it is despair and dread all the way down. I’m not criticizing it, it’s still excellent, but it’s a difficult read from an emotional perspective, as the point of view despondency is so descriptive and immersive that it rubs off on me. Have to take breaks to keep from going hollow

what kinda crazy training arc did Pierce Brown go on before writing this book
his writing is the best it has ever been, but more impressive is how he's balancing two conflicting perspectives that are somehow both compelling despite being on opposite sides
the original trilogy is fantastic but what he's attempting now is so much more interesting
