Jayson
Jayson is on page 112 of 129

Notes:
(1) The latter half of this outlines the evil carnival's evil scheme, while still leaving some mystery about it.
- It's actually quite impressive how so much lore is so clearly and concisely explained over just a double-page spread.
(2) It's immediately apparent when the carnival comes into play, the muted/newsprint-style coloring gets blown out by gaudy technicolor.

Notes:
(1) This is definitely a fast read. I think it's due to a couple factors.
- First, it's a very low-detail, cartoony art style. That's not a bad thing, it just means there's a more animated quality since you're not lingering to break down the art—a lot of panels don't even have backgrounds.
- Second, it's not cluttered with dialogue. Wordy patches are well spaced out.

Notes:
(1) I've read this already in singles but, as is my wont, I'm reading the trade to refresh my memory going into the new run of issues.
(2) I had some other material queued up for my next stretch of books, but I'm in a bit of a slump right now and could use something easy and breezy.
- At least, I don't remember this series being particularly difficult to get through.
