The final chapter, “In Praise of Compassion,” may be one of the best chapters I’ve read across many Christian non-fiction books. After 5 chapters of describing how to put off compassion’s counterfeits, chapter 6 takes us into the stories of Brothers Karamazov and the death of Lazarus to bring the reader into the filling love of Jesus. Masterful closing.
