in my brain I know that Gerald killing his descendants is, you know, bad, and part of his evil demon vampire nature, etc etc etc. in my heart, however, I don't care about Andrys in the very slightest and I hope Gerald kills him, too. it might not be good for his soul but it would be pretty hot.

The sheer amount of Fated True Love nonsense that Friedman is trying to do with Narilka and Andrys with absolutely no basis in any real human emotion so all the histrionics fall flat, MEANWHILE Damien and Gerald are getting goth married in a cave, fully till death do they part, and it’s just like “only because we need to fight the Big Bad.” makes me crazy.
