BULBOKJANG is the way Textiles and Clothing were preserved in Korea because of the climate and soil. Bulbokjang is the Buddhist ritual practise of enshrined consecrated objects in cavities of seated Buddha statues. It has been traced to 8th century China and migrated to Korea in the Unified Silla period. This accounts for the oldest piece of clothing dated to before 1302

The book is a series of eell-researched and well-documented essays that denotes the influences on Korean Dress. The essayists use three methods: what they can gleen from the art of the periods, the artifacts found by the archeologists and the written historic records.

This is incredibly important and fascinating
