Ah, from what I've gotten through so far, it works on a teetering edge. Very much to implicate Bateman as much as the reader, I like it but it's realistically frustrating. A lot of that innate human desire to have that materialistic carnal want to be justified is what makes it as interesting to read as it is blatantly fetishistic. Point being, I'm too curious to put it down but I don't blame her.
