I don't speak Norwegian by any means, but this translation seems to be brimming with life. I read Peer Gynt recently and was quite put out with how little of the verse seemed to be left after translating. Brand is gorgeously translated. I wish Geoffrey Hill had taken a look at Peer Gynt instead of Peter Watts.
