Have only 4 sermons left to read, read, re-read everything else in book. Even looked up info re the Liberal theology Barth reacted against. This Aug 30 sermon was the most applicable so far to the war situation, based on the true prophet Isaiah’s message that in quietness and in trust (and in hope) shall be yr Strength-Isa.30:15. Basically war shouldn’t concern us; we should work toward unity and brotherhood

It’s interesting -another bible study with many extra book services. Preface, acknowledgements, triple historical timeline, a 12-section and almost 50 page intro, table of contents, 13 sermons on 13 or 14 scripture selections (have to double think it to see how some of it is pertinent to times of war), extensive notes section, 3-part select bibliography, indices for most persons mentioned, places and subjects.

Re-read sermon on EPHESIANS 2:4-7. Sermon themed on ‘God has set us in the heavenly realm !’ By ‘us’ presumably meaning Christian believers . What a sermon ! Can’t believe those poor people sitting in the pews could keep up with it. It’s more suitable as a lecture in a faculty of religious studies.
