I'm really enjoying the plot and the writing and the characters so far, but.... in 71 pages, why have we mentioned the MC's weight/ eating habits three times already.

The love interest mentions that she puts so much cream in her coffee that it will make her gain weight. Maybe because it was written in the 90's and society had such a weird obsession with weight and what foods women were eating, but it's irritating.
