It’s more Victorian body horror. The male counterpart that’s supposed to kick off all the issues has just arrived so I am hoping this book gets better. I am having a hard time getting thru it - all this self-mutilation is boring. And the protagonist is spoiled - living this comfortable life on her father’s dime and totally self-absorbed and beholden to no one. Basically a mentally deranged brat. Unlikable.
