This reads like ‘Tropes: The Manga’. Every character seems like a caricature come to life, but in a good way. Some of the narrative choices haven’t aged well (specifically, the misogyny) but I’m hooked by the story. Enjoying my time with it so far!

At this point in the story, the creepy misogyny and lewd humor is getting to me and really detracting from my review of this book. Amazing action and storytelling juxtaposed with weird power fetishes and flirtations with incest? No thanks.
