Alright I was being a little harsh on Messina, he’s not a bad artist, but that last comic he did was a little rough. This, on the other hand, is much better.

I’m getting increasingly concerned with Messina taking over Checchetto’s position so frequently, he’s just not as good. Shame though, gives me less faith in getting in myself knowing I could be like this guy is to the big C.

I am not a fan of Messina’s artwork for this book, it’s too smooth. It’s entirely lacking of the personality that I grew to love about Checchetto’s style. At least the saving grace of the character designs still exists, but it’s just much weaker stuff. Very glad to hear this was the exception because Christ, not my thing.

Humor is very strong though.
