len ❀ added a status update
hi everyone,

just wanna say that i’m going to be pretty inactive for the rest of the year bc i’ve gone back to college. it’s going to take up a lot of my socialization and reading time. i’ll try to hop on here and there but don’t promise any interactions. the most reading i’ll be doing involve my textbooks. 😭

happy reading!

len ❀ some of you know but i’ve already graduated university with my BA in polisci. unfortunately, i'm not interested in politics or law school anymore, and it's difficult getting around with that degree in my city/state if i don't have my MA or JD. so now i’m a health/STEM student. so this material is all pretty damn new. i’m scared for myself but i’m trying to do something in my life. i’m taking anatomy & physiology, and if you’d taken that before (in the US at least cause idk how it is in other countries lol) you’d know it’s difficult and requires a lot of studying, especially for someone like me who only took liberal arts sciences/maths. i’m basically starting from scratch again.
with that being said, i need to dedicate a lot of time to it. having graduated from college already, i know what works for me and what doesn’t, and i know what i need to do better, so i’m literally locking tf in and will be taking these next two years so damn seriously.

Meags Good on you, len! Sounds like a hell of a lot of mental work, but if anyone is up for that, it’s you! I did two degrees myself in my younger years and, lord help me, one of them was also a health/stem type of study. It’s a lot but damn it’s rewarding to build on your knowledge base and practical life skills. You’ll smash this!!!! Books and GR’s folk will be here when you surface. Good luck!!! Xxx

message 3: by Evie (new)

Evie Goodluck! I dont envy your workload but I am sure that you will smash it. I hope you get time for a few great books between all the textbook reading!

message 4: by len ❀ (new)

len ❀ meags,
thank you! 😭 i never thought i’d willingly take so many science classes but here we are. it really is rewarding. in the us it tends to give you more opportunities too compared to more liberals arts degrees. i’m really hoping it’ll pay off.

message 5: by len ❀ (new)

len ❀ evie,
thank you! fingers crossed because i’ll need it haha. i usually read as “therapy” but it won’t be as possible this time. 😂

message 6: by Renata (new)

message 12: by mia (new)

mia take care of yourself too, el! will check in on you time to time <3

message 13: by Federico (new)

Federico DN Hey, textbooks also count for the reading challenge lol. Sometimes we need to make a change and take a new course in life, no wrong in it. Taking a time off social media is also not such a bad thing, all things considering, either for health, pleasure or even studies lol. All the best for this new stage in your life Len <3. Never give up, never surrender!

message 14: by len ❀ (new)

len ❀ mia,
thank you sweet angel! hope you’re doing well!

message 15: by len ❀ (new)

len ❀ federico,
thank you! haha okay you’re right. if i finish the whole thing i’ll add it. 😂 i love goodreads but yeah, it can be draining in a lot of ways. i take a break from it when i need to because i always doomscroll here and get distracted so i can’t risk it. i’m sure i’ll still be able to read here and there just nothing like before. i’m really hoping this new journey and these new challenges in my life will be worth it.

message 16: by Niharika (new)

Niharika So excited for you! I just joined undergrand myself and my reading situation has been looking dire, and so I totally understand!

Caroline’s Romance Reads Aww good luck len! You got this! I’m actually a paralegal student who was considering law school but now I’m considering getting an MFA in creative writing!

message 18: by len ❀ (new)

len ❀ niharika,
thank you! that's amazing! all the luck to you as well! it sucks how little we can read now but hopefully it will be a temporary situation.

message 19: by len ❀ (new)

len ❀ caroline,
thank you! that's awesome!! i used to feel guilty but now i'm realizing that i'm only 24 and sadly this is pretty common. i wish i knew what i wanted to do in life and whatnot but sadly for me it is a bit more complicated since i really don't know what that (1) think i'm passionate about it. all i know is that i love helping people haha, hence why i wanted to be an attorney. good luck to you on your (potential?) mfa journey!

Caroline’s Romance Reads Thank you len! You still have time to figure it out! I’m 27 and still figuring things out :) there’s definitely no time limit!

ᖰhiᖱeɭia (ia) I’ve always believed it’s never too late to learn something new! it’s been a year since college started for me, and it’s definitely getting harder and harder to keep up with reading the way I used to.. especially while trying to stay active here on goodreads, so I totally get it 😭😭 hope you still find time for a few great books in between all the textbook chaos<3 wishing you all the best and good luck, len!!

message 38: by hope (new)

hope Awwww I’m so happy for you! I wish you all the best 💕💘

message 39: by len ❀ (new)

len ❀ phi,
thank you so much! i actually read A LOT when i was in university but i was doing a liberal arts degree so it was not as hard as doing a science/stem degree. i’m regretting not taking biology before but oh well. 😭

message 40: by len ❀ (new)

len ❀ hope,
thank you!!

message 41: by Nancy (new)

Nancy I had to take several A&P classes for my nursing degree, so I know how challenging it can be, but I also found it fascinating. Best of luck with this new chapter, Len! I have no doubt you’ll do great. 😘🫶🏻

message 42: by Julie (new)

Julie G You can't stop me from thinking about you, though! (Back in Denver, or new school?).
Best, always.
xoxo

message 43: by len ❀ (new)

len ❀ nancy,
thank you! i admire all you nurses. i don’t want to go to nursing school and these subjects are kicking my butt.

message 44: by len ❀ (new)

len ❀ julie,
my big sister! i’m always thinking about you.
and no, luckily i’m back home. it’s an AAS degree so i’m taking it here; cheaper and the commute is 50 min :)

message 45: by Julie (new)

Julie G Your family is probably thrilled that you're closer! Hang in there, my friend. You've got this.
xoxo
