I can no longer take the emotional whiplash of wanting to throw this book out a window because it’s giving me the ick and then suddenly wanting to clutch it to my chest crying because it’s so beautifully written. It’s a DNF for me.

I was very feeling iffy about this book, but now I am so firmly on Vivienne’s side that I cannot stop. How DARE her brother berate her like that! Heaven forbid a girl worry about her mother after they LIED TO HER the first time around.
